How to join your child to Bristol Cricket Club

HOW TO GUIDE – FOR A PARENT WANTING TO JOIN THEIR CHILD TO BRISTOL CRICKET CLUB

To enable your child to play cricket at Bristol Cricket Club, there is a two site registration process that needs to be completed.
The first one is to become a member of the Bristol Cricket Club site on www.bristolcricketclub.co.uk, this makes sure you are placed with the correct age group manager, covers our safeguarding and DBS Policy and is where you are able to pay for your seasonal membership. To do this you must sign yourself up as the parent, and then add you child/children so you can connect to each other.
The second one is where you need to create an account on www.bristol.play-cricket.com and register all children aged 8-16 who might play in matches. This is a very important, nationwide initiative from the ECB and EVERY club across the country is being asked to get ALL their parents to do this.
Play-cricket.com is the portal which all cricket clubs use to manage their fixtures, results scorecards and league registrations. In the past, the clubs have added players to the portal so they can add them to scorecards and track their performance stats. However, from a GDPR perspective, we are no longer allowed to add player details ourselves and we need to ensure you have complete control of your personal data.
So you firstly need to set up your own ‘parent’ account … and this link tells you how to do that.

Once you’ve done that, you need to add your children to your account … and the instructions for that are here.

Couple of notes:
· You will only have to do this once – not every season
· Once your children turn 16, they will automatically be emailed by play-cricket to set up their own account (if you link an email to their child account)
· If you also have children that are already over 16, please ask them to create their own account
· This is a completely separate process to registering with your club and paying the annual membership which is done on the www.bristolcricketclub.co.uk site.
I hope this all makes sense, but please do get in touch with me if you have any questions.
Kind regards.
