In previous weeks the 3rd team could be described as a motley crew, this week was really the motliest of crews, to take on a strong Backwell Flax Bourton side.

Although miracle worker Marshy managed to get 11 bodies onto the cricket field on week where Ice Road would have been indispensable and a unavailability list longer than .....

Sammy Matthews returned from his assault an Australian females to open the batting with club legend Mike Love.

It was difficult early on with all the rain during the week and it was slow going.

Whale top scored with 46 and was partly assisted by Space who once again batted like Andy Meehan on Valium.

We finished 129-8 off 45 overs. On a wicket which improved considerably throughout the innings.

Unlike the previous week the opposition knocked off the runs easily with a mixture or poor and average bowling, with the loss of two wickets. The highlight being Gwilliams catch.
